Hi everyone! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. I wanted to come on here and just write about today. Today, December 9th, is my sister's 10th birthday. I still can't believe she is 10 years old. There are some bittersweet thoughts I have about it being her birthday.
She's 10 years old. Every kid would be excited to turn double digits but to her, she doesn't know the excitement of this. For me, I've been wishing and praying for the day to come where she can talk to me. But, it's been 10 years and nothing has changed. She still takes her medicine and there are times where she has seizures. And, honestly, I feel horrible thinking this way. This is Chloe's way of life and there's nothing I can do to change that.
But, there is always a bright side to this. Before, I wasn't able to see it in this light but now I am able to and I hope everyone else can see it this way. At least Chloe is healthy and happy. She loves music and expresses herself with Christmas music in the background.
Of course there are times where I wish she was able to talk and know how to blow out a candle. But, I'm blessed to have her as my sister and be able to eat the cheesecake she loves. Thank you for reading and stay safe :)
